Happiness is...

...being able to sleep with the window open. Ahhhh....

...walking into the living room to see MeMe reading Oliver Twist in the window seat. So precious.

Raw(e) is here!

This week's theme is shoes. I thought for sure that I would have a couple shoe pictures in my files. Though I had lots of bare feet (probably because MeMe and Lilly barely wear shoes! :)), I didn't have any of shoes.

I pulled on some pretty shoes and went out the bench in our backyard. By keeping my feet on the bench and twisting my back and arms, I managed to get this shot...

How exactly I did it I'll never know.

I really love old homes.

I love the wooden doors.

I love the windows in garages.

I love the old doorknobs (and doors that are sorely in need of paint).

I love the bricks in the patio area.

I love the little surprises in the form of flowers previous owners so often leave.

I love how much history and stories they have (There's a rumor that liquor was stored in our basement during the Prohibition!).

I love the old incinerators. 

I love how strongly the houses are built. 

I love the playhouse that's built to look like a mini version of our house.
